I always wanted to lose weight, but I never realized just how amazing getting fit in the process feels! Your body's an amazing thing; why let 50 % of it go to waste? I measure myself twice every month to keep tabs on my weight. I've been active for most part of my life and indulge in a lot of cardio but yesterday's measurements blew me away. In less than four weeks of Metafitnosis and ghazi I've lost 3.5 inches from my hips and 8 pounds. This seems pretty drastic and most would jump to the conclusion that I starve myself, but ever since I've started working out my appetite has increased significantly. I eat a lot and by a lot I mean, A LOT. Hah. It's not only the inches that overwhelmed me but my entire body has dramatically changed. My arms and legs are toned and I have actually started loving my hate handles.

Before joining Meta, I was petrified that I'd come out having your arms and shoulders and that I guess is a legitimate fear for any girl my age. However, not only do I look nothing like Hulk, I adore the subtle cuts in my arms and thighs.

I'm used to a cardio routine for 45 minutes without getting out of breath but 25 minutes of working out at Metafitnosis and I'm ready to go home.

Oh oh oh and I'd like to add that as a girl it isn't easy doing leg raises and chest exercises with a male trainer but Ghazi has never made me feel uncomfortable and having him cheering me on incessantly, really helps.

All in all, I think I made a huge mistake in joining Metafitnosis last month... should have joined way earlier.

"It depends...what do you want to look like?" Perhaps a great part of Metafitnosis is a team which is eager to hear you out, and plan accordingly. It is hard not to think of great things when trying to describe my "gym" experience. Whether it's my trainer Ghazi pushing me into the last 15 seconds of a sprint, the warm shower after my work out, or Alex handing me a granola bar on the way out, I am always made to believe I am priority #1. What I can tell people once I leave is that I had a great start to my day, and that I am waiting for tomorrow to get back in there and kill it. More importantly, I am also more confident about a sense of accomplishment in terms of my physical well-being. "The workout should be hard, it should exhaust and invigorate you, then go eat a nice juicy steak." It is certain that the kinds of workouts that I attempt at Metafitnosis are at once severe, pressurized, and difficult, yet at the same time also highly achievable. "Stretch those arms, all the way, one more...properly!" The atmosphere in the gym is created by your efforts during your workout. The trainer will push you if you can be pushed, and switch to a better/alternate pace if you are not up to speed on a given day. "Too much stress, take it easy on the sweet stuff." Another very refreshing aspect of my experience at the gym is that I have never felt that anyone has tried to sell me on Metafitnosis. If you ask for a diet, you will be assessed first. If it seems you don't need one, the team will not advise you to start one. If you willfully choose to train all week, your training will be tailored that way. If you wish to cut back, you will be admired for exercising restraint. It seems like anyone who is looking for educated answers to what a great work out and physical training entail, should meet with the team at Metafitnosis. At times I am the first one in the gym around 6:30-7:00. My trainer Ghazi is always ready and waiting to put me to the grind. When I came to metafitnosis for the first time for an evaluation, Amir asked me whether I was into any sport. My answer was that I played golf. He said to me that I would add 50 yards to my driving distance within 6 months. At the time I thought that he was trying to sell "the gym" to me. I started metafitnosis and due to time clash left golf for 4 months.
Last week a few friends forced me to play golf which I did. Lord and behold Amir was right. During the course of those 9 holes, I hit my ever longest drives. I had added at least 30-40 yards and I was feeling great playing the game. The short game was shot to hell but who cares. Amir & his army of great trainers combined are the 2nd best thing about metafitnosis. The best thing being a highly efficient system/program (Plus their Muscle Milkshake which is the best in the town). I mean, when a training of mere 1.5 hours a week is giving results, there is something absolutely brilliant about it (that includes cheating on your diet like our politicians cheat on their mandate). Athletes/ Supermodels stay in shape for a living. We do vice versa and hence find it hard to shape up a physique that can match the likes we normally see either in English premier league or in Milan Fashion week. This is exactly where Metafitnosis is the most affordable thing to do. Their approximately 42 hour training session spread over 6 months, is a great silent therapy. Silent I say because gradually you'll realize that you have started doing some of the hardest stuff, pretty easily. Hence you aren't only losing fat but gaining strength. Forget about liposuction & diet pills, these guys have the best surgery for the intruders called fats in your body. Great results in training sessions that can fit into the schedule of even a Prime Minister.

I have had a very uncomfortable relationship with my body all my life and it's not a short life btw. Blame it on my context, the culture I was raised in, peer pressure, aunty pressure, self pressure, all this and much more added to me always feeling very very fat. Even in certain parts of my life where I was actually slim. Because of this uncomfortable relationship with my own body and the harsh way I always judged it, I naturally developed a very challenging relationship with diets and gyms too. Having said that let me tell you honestly I have tried all kinds of diets, from starvation to cabbage soup and everything in between, then the yoyo would bounce back and I would be back on yet another diet. I have tried all great machines.

I joined Metafitnosis a year and a half ago. Everyone wants to know how much weight I have lost; I have dropped 2 to 3 dress sizes. And I'm going strong and continue being committed to THE DIET (Amir hates me calling it a diet) to be fair to him and myself, its a lifestyle. I am proud to say I am on this lifestyle regime for one week short of a year now. I feel a sense of achievement!

I have too much to say and here are the 10 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT METAFITNOSIS:

1. The motivation I got from my personal trainer and the management has made it possible for me to wear knee high boots this year, the zip went up so much more easily :) I feel that I am finally getting the hang of understanding how to make my metabolism work.

2. It's clean clean clean, which is super important for me and allows me a certain level of comfort while training. Even the bathrooms are super clean, can you believe it!

3. The entire team makes you feel like a million dollars or rupees (whatever your choice of currency might be) from the moment that you enter till you leave. There is also constant monitoring of our diets and programs and they actually listen to what I have to say.

4. The sessions are short, the hardest fat-destroying workouts and oh so affective, no hanging around in gyms for hours, and results are guaranteed!

5. It makes me feel safe as a woman and that is very very important to me, no staring or bad vibes around. The crowd here is very exclusive and absolutely great!

6. The trainers and the process continue to push and challenge you beyond your comfort zone, all programs are designed according to your capacity and needs.

7. The coffee area offers yummy granola bars and yogurts; cool in more ways than one. By the way, my cheat days on this diet the gym created for me allows me to eat all and more I have been craving all my life without any guilt.

8. This process of diet and exercise has made me leaner, stronger (inside and out), my skin has cleared and so has my head!

9. There is a constant sense of growth and learning in the gym team. They continue sharing new ideas and info and that is very reassuring that Metafitnosis is worth every penny, because they know their stuff.

Martin & MilenaWhen we arrived in Pakistan about a year ago, Milena and I were in the idea to join some sort of club or gym to, firstly maintain a certain level of fitness and secondly to meet people and make new friends.
Before coming here we were used to do class training sessions, the best way to meet people and to have a chat but maybe not to reach a high level of training. So when we heard about Amir and his gym we were a little uncertain if it was that we were looking for.
A guy who's always behind you, watching all your moves, the way you put your arm, your leg, the way you breath, no possibilities to chat with someone else, no possibilities to leave it there when you feel tired and above all no way to meet people because your alone with this guy,...but we said ok let's have a try. After 10 months of training we can say that we've...enjoyed it!
Of course it was not always easy.
Especially in the beginning, I thought I was pretty fit and I joined the gym with the idea to maintain this level of fitness. Wrong! I was not that fit or at least not to Amir's standard. When after the first sessions I barely could sit down because of the pain or climb the stairs... then you realize that there is something wrong about your definition of fitness.
Milena will say that 3 sessions a week is too much for her and I think Amir knows it now after she repeated it consistently for month and month! But she kept on going 3 times a week!
Amir has the ability to understand right after the first exercise of your session if you're tired, sore (or just bored) and he will adapt this particular session so you will go till the end with practically no effort and not noticing it. I liked also his capacity to invent new exercise; sometimes I had the feeling to be at the rehearsal of the Barnum Circus. And I've learned that a push up is not just a push up there are hundreds of different ways to "enjoy" the push up!
I think we can say that we reach our goals; we met a nice bunch of people, we kept and even improved our fitness level and ... we even manage to chat during the sessions!

Here are my realistic two cents: I came to Metafitnosis, half convinced, enticed by a friend's impressive sales pitch, looking for a body tone up. The first day saw me crawling out of the gym with exhaustion and consequently taking the day off to head home and sleep! I have been working out in the distant past but wasn't ready for what I experienced! What followed is not, as they say history, but very close. The regimen not only challenged every muscle in my body but introduced athletic conditioning unlike other programs I have tried. Alice WimaI loved going to the gym & being told what to do. I think I am lazy by nature but can push myself very hard if need is- and maintaining a great shape and good fitness is a must for me, despite all pizza, pasta and chocolate cravings. And the gym was my solution to it and in addition a place of mental rehab given the worsening security situation.
I was for sure not a friendly client but I would follow all crazy & super tough exercises, ask for heavy metal music or disco fever and after 45 minutes (or on weak days 1 h) of sweating, insulting Amir (and his team) and laughing, I could go happily home and enjoy breakfast or dinner. At days I hated dragging myself there, but I knew I would be in a better mood and proud of myself even if it meant suffering. Other days I could not get enough and begged for extra.
Now I am sitting on another continent and wish Amir could open a franchise here so someone brings me back on track by inventing personalized movements, an incredible number of repetitions and surprising but never boring routines. And if not for the health aspect, the gym was the place to meet new and interesting new people, get party invitations and birthday cakes (with carbs and fat- no worries, underweight skinny girls is not the objective but toned and fit). So when can I visit your new branches ;-)
